Default Friends List - Grouping & Sorting

(I know something similar has been suggested before, this is slightly different and expressed in more detail)
Please sign if you wish for this to become a reality!

Here is what I propose: A way to keep track of your friends in your friends list.

-Grouping-

Allow for us to create friends groups and add/remove players from those groups. It becomes quite difficult to keep track of whos-who if you do not keep in touch on a regular basis.

Examples of groups:
FoW Friends
PvP Friends
Guild Applicants
Trades
[Insert Guild Tag here] Contacts

The groups should be user-defined. Ther should be a "no group" default, where names would fall into the friends list exactly as they do now. Once a user adds a new friend it goes into the default area, when the friends name is clicked on, an option to add them to a group pops up with all groups being displayed.

The benefit to the players would be huge. Think about when they first grouped skills together by attribute line and gave the ability to sort - that was without a doubt one of the best functionality updates of last year. Inreased organization of skills gave the player the ability to set up builds faster.

In the same light, increased organization of friends will allow for players to make better use of this list.

-Sorting-

Allow for us to sort the friends list in different ways, the default being alphabetically by group.
Other sorting ideas:
Last logged on
Alphabetically by name
Others??

Sorting, IMO is not as important as grouping. Grouping would make the friends list SO much more useful, less cluttered, and bring an important functionality to the game.

Please do this for us!

they really should make this, but also to let the user choose what the group is (EG: just friends or guildies) and let them name the groups themsefls

I'd also like a Guildwars messenger, like they had on lineage 2. That was cool

/signed, would help a lot, but there should be a limit to how many groups you have and how many people you have in each group.

Seems like everyone wants new items, new faces, new races, more access, new professions, but... no one cares for an improvement to the underlying interface of the game that would span every chapter and make your lives easier?

The Friends list is too hard to use, once you have 30 or so names tracking whos-who becomes almost impossible if you don't talk to those folks on a regular basis.

Please sign if you want this interface enhancement

I find myself not being able to remember who some of the people on my Friend's list are, and why I put them on there in the first place. The grouping especially would be a huge plus. Good idea.
